I had read about this, but the clip is just astonishing.
For the record, the average cost of putting someone to death is $2.3 million (1992 Dallas Morning News estimate), about 3x the amount of money it takes to keep them imprisoned. That’s 360 million unnecessary dollars over ten years. Applause!
